Mangalore Cricket Club Qatar holds Eid Picnic at Al Ruwais Gardens on 26th Oct

Doha, 28 Oct 2012: Mangalore Cricket Club had organized Annual Eid Picnic at al Ruwais Gardenswhich has plenty of shade, lawn, pay area for children and beach facilities etc. during the long weeken of Barkrid Festival.To meet this quest Mangalore Cricket Club (MCC) Qatar organized its annual picnic a day out to Al Ruwais Gardens. which is located 110 km from the capital city Doha.
Picnic was truly enjoyable one  and included  Breakfast, games for all age group, Biriyani lunch, snacks, water, Tug of War, music, Bingo (As known by Housie Housie in India),  lots of other games, prizes...etc...etc... and loads and loads of fun.

 

All the members that included families, bachelors, Forced Bachelors etc. gathered near Qatar GPO grounds, as the  three buses  arranged by MCC were waiting for the pick up. Apprx around at 7.30 am all the three vehicles started from the assembling point towards  Al Ruwais Gardens .


On reaching at picnic spot in the garden, a sumptuous breakfast of  Mangalorean Sannams (Idly) with Chutney was served on reaching the destination. Reena Castelino on behalf of MCC Executive Committee welcomed the gathering and conducted the ice breaker session to introduce the new and old members and to familiarize with new faces so that all people all could mingle with each other well during the enjoyable picnic times.

 

 


This was followed by fun games for the different age groups from the tiny toddlers to the elders with some new games introduced by our active members. Games for various age groups were held in a superb way.
After a delicious lunch of hot biriyani, group gathered under the pleasant weather conditions for some fun group games like Bingo, Antakshari Etc..

 

Evening Tea and snacks, was followed by much awaited Tug of war game which was played between mixed 4 groups, including Ladies and Gentlement, Boys and Girls and the two winners contested a to a close finished final, in best of 3 format and the winners made it to a 2-1 voctory. Even children too played the tug of was and were seen still holding the rope, and never wanted to stop.

 

A group of members made use of the time and went for a dip and enjoyed swimming in the cool waters while others enjoyed the lovely walk on the beach. Around 5.30 pm all gathered back in the bus and the fun continued in the bus with non stop songs, jokes and antakshari until the drop point to prove the picnic spirit.

Thus the Mangalore Cricket Club Annual Eid Picnic of 2012 eneded with much more joy and celebration than expected by the members, due to good planning and preparation by the MCC Executive Committee members.
