Long ago a well known Kannada writer had said that there were only two types of marriages - civil and criminal. The former was for people who could not afford and did not care what people thought about their social status. The latter was for those who could not afford but to silence the wagging toungues and compete with the affluent society borrowed money and got married and got into debt trap. Now we have found a third type of wedding - community wedding in which people who cannot afford as well as those who can, may have a decent and respectable wedding supported and blessed by the community. Let us call this a humane wedding and the very idea is spreading like wild fire among all the religio-social communities.
As for the "Indian fat weddings", I whole heartedly support them because they sustain our economy. Without them how can our catering houses, marriage halls, priests, event managers, decorators, beauty parlours, liquor shops, slaughter houses etc etc and their emplyees survive? Self supporting communities are the foundations for stable and happy families. Keep up the good work and try to spread the idea around.

The Election manifesto of our BJP is of tall order. They could not ISSUE Ration as required and shelved the ration cards. They played politics even on the food items of the poor! So vote for them.

The last government by BJP was not against corruption but against rendering of justice by Lokayukta system. first they did not appoint Lokayukta or tried to appoint persons of unholy background, who were corrupt. Secondy their made evey effort to stay the inquiry or proceedings by High court ignoring full ench judgment opposing staying of investigation by Lokayukta Thus many a complaints have been shelved in pending inquiry and this may be one such case. Unless one is convicted he is not barred. Hence with the limited data availablein my view the ommission may not be a materail fact and Mr Lobo cannot be said to be wrong.-Benedict Noronha. The complaint appears to be a hopeless reaction.

Boycotting elections on certain ground is nothing but foolishness. the matter before the Shirva villagers is that no development work was done by the party in power in the area. for that refuse to vote such a party candidate and support a more able party leader and vote . Every voter must take part and vote and register the anger against the last elected leader, who has done for his community people arround his lacality only and swallowed funds. such leaders must loose their deposits by very low polling. Boy cot is not the answer. If you had submitted a memorandum demanding certain developmnet and it was not taken up by the ruling or opposition parties then only yu will be justified in boycotting elections.This is my my opinion and reaction to this news item. Dr. Vijay Mallya expects the team to realize its full potential in Bahrain this time around. Sahara Force India team had an excellent result finishing sixth. BIC track with its high temperature and smooth surface has generally well suited VJMO6 and they are hopeful this will be the case this weekend. With a bit more luck, Sahara Force India will be able to fully exploit the potential of their car and get some more points on the board before the European leg of the season.

The Grand Prix is an important event as it pumps millions of dollars in to the economy and it is a great sporting event for everyone to enjoy! As some FI fans pointed out that it’s not just a race, it’s three days of family entertainment.
