There is a difference between supporting a political party and a local candidate. It often happens that a very good person is contesting from a party which does not respect the fundamental rights of every citizen, has scant respect for the constitution though it swears to uphold the constitution while taking oath of office. When a party does not have the guts to kick out its members when they take the law in their own hands just because the party wants their support to win an election, however good a person may be, will lose the support of the people. In a similar way, a party which does not have the capability to field candidates in all the constituencies which go to polls, has no right to contest because all we want is a party to gain majority seats on its own and rule the state or nation for the next five years. Coalition politics is the bane of the nation whether it is in India or anywhere else like Italy etc. I shall not vote a person (even if he is my brother) if he belongs to a party which does not repect the constitution of the state and does not field enough candidates who can win and form a governement on its own. Still confused? If yes, you have no right to vote. Period.

Only a freedom fighter knows the value of freedom. None of the political parties are corrupt. The members of the party are corrupt. Unfortunately, they are in a majority. It is not easy to clean up a party of corruption; but corruption can be contained only if the party is interested in running a goverment. Winning an election should not be their only goal.

A simple apology or a condemnation from the political party that supported church attack, protesters beaten to blue not even sparing old nuns, attacking, beating women in the name of culture and religion would have made a world of good. Naturally confuses a catholic when other catholics proclaiming the support to them. I am not supporting any political party here, only mentioning injustice to christians during church attacks and political leaders maintained a deep silence fearing their masters of political career!

These women should take assurense in writing from supporting political party that they will not do church attacks and attacks on minority before joining them! It is their wish after all! For the first time I believe that selectors have gone with the form rather than the big names. They are too bold and select players who only deserve to be selected. Dinesh Karthik deserved his selection. The overall selection process is quite brilliant. The team has got quite the right temperament and balance as quite a few fresh faces are in. I thought Praveen Kumar had a good chance of making it. He is someone who swings the ball and in English conditions and he would have been very handy. Also he was India s best bowler when we were in England almost two years back. It would have been a real treat to watch Praveen and Bhuvneshwar bowl in tandem in England. Dropping Yuvraj and Gambhir was the right decision; Yuvraj Singh hasn t done much in one day cricket for India since his comeback. Gambhir has been in woeful form even in the IPL. Sandeep Patil and Co have done a good job, taken the brave call of dropping experienced senior players and giving someone else a chance. Well done! This is a good team and has all its bases covered and has the capability to lift the trophy. Wishing them good luck!

The electioneering is over. Going by BV s reports on JR Lobo and assuming others did likewise, it seems house-to-house vote seeking, use of hand bills, road shows and street corner meetings replaced mega rallies. Really? A resident can tell us.
It is not surprising that parties did not rake up corruption as main poll issue. But, to the voter would it not be an issue in his privacy in the booth? I think corruption at state and local level will be. Besides, each of six regions of the state have its own local issue, for example moral policing in coastal twin districts and attacks on religious minorities.
Was the election commission get a handle on money and muscle power?The decision to hold the vote in all 223 constituencies in a single day means the election process is maturing and moving in the right direction. Hopefully, in five years, it should be able to hold counting immediately as polls close and know the result by the end of the night instead of waiting for three days.

By the questions of Confused Christian, makes me to write a little because in 1994 in Vorkady once a priest closed the way to a community so that people came to finish him and during that time I know how difficult to compromise with them and solve such foolishness of someone and lay people have to work with other communities.
