Mangaluru: Covid-19 - NSUI City Unit distributes ration-kits to daily wagers families

Mangaluru, 07 Apr 2020: City unit of National Students Union of India (NSUI), student wing of the Indian National Congress, distributed ration-kits to most needy daily workers families living in and around city, on Sunday, April 4, during ongoing Covid-10 national lockdown.
It was carried out under the initiative of young students of St Aloysius College and nearby colleges.
In order to support the young students, former number one corporator of Shivabagh ward – Sabita Misquith extended helping hand in identifying the neediest families.
It was indeed a noble deed of the students to help the most distressed families at these testing times.
NSUI – Mangaluru unit led by Pius Mario D’Souza, A Hameed distributed ration kits to the needy families at Nantoor, Kadri, Bejai, Marnamikatte, Vamanjoor, Thumbay and Adyarpadav, in the presence of Sabita Misquith, NSUI president Manani Primenta, executive president Maqsood, vice president Glanal Melrick Saldanha, general secretary Ayan, Aloysius College Students Union vice president Abel Hisham Mohammed, general secretary Arfaq.
The distribution of ration kits to most needy was inspired by DK district youth Congress president Mitun Rai.
