Multi-stars perform and shine at KCO ’Fiesta’ in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi, 20 Apr 2013: The well-known stars/singer from Mangalore namely, Claude, Ivan and Kevin Misquit performed at the KCO Fiesta held at Abu Dhabi Country Club on Friday 19 April as part of KCO’s  anniversary.  All the singers including Nephie Rod from Mumbai presented one of the finest show and enthrall the Abu Dhabi audience.  KCO (Konkani Cultural Organization) is known for its various noble causes, charities and educational funds for many under-privileged children back in Mangalore.

 

The entire show was supper attended by large number of Mangaloreans and Goans and danced to the beautiful konkani numbers by Kevin, Claude and Nephie Road.

 

The event began with a prayer song by Joshal D’Souza and Rupert Vaz followed prayer and blessings by Fr Valerian Fernandes OFM Cap, spiritual director of KCO followed by theme song sung by all KCO members led by well known singer of Abu Dhabi and KCO member Renny Lobo.

 

The first program of the event was began with a melodius and sentimental song by Ivan Sequeira  – Muja Kudinthlea Shirani – composed by the legendary singer the late Wilfred Rebimbus followed by the another lovely song “Mobile”.  Performing for the first time in U.A.E  the singer Kevin Misquith who has many concerts under his belt and attended by large crowd in Mangalore sang his favourite numbers Muja Anja and Kedna Kedna and enthrall the audience.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

But it was the famous singer Nephie Rod who sang Lis Boa, America Pavshi and Goa and mesmerized the audience.  The Baila King Kalashree Claud D’Souza  sang Sinzorina and a duet song Zaithe Tharnate sang along with Ivan.

 

The much awaited Goa’s famous rock band “Purple Rain” performed live performance and the audience joined in to dance to the beautiful numbers.

 

The current KCO president, Bennette D’Mello in his presidential address highlighting KCO’s various charitable deeds and activities to get some fund to help out the under-privileged back in Mangalore.  He thanked all the sponsors without their support they would not have been able to support these causes.

 

Mr. Ronald Pinto (MD Hyssna International - The event sponsor and all other sponsors were felicitated with floral bouquets and mementos.

 

The second session began with best of the oldies Mogan Asun Boren, Claudia, Tum, Sorga Razanth, sung by Nephie Rod accompanied by a new upcoming singer from Abu Dhabi Joshal D’Souza.

 

Kevin Misquith once again back on stage with his title song of the latest cd  “Tembe Tembe” and “Kalza Tar” won the heart of the audiance. Ivan Sequiera and Claude continued their singing rendering beautiful  konkani songs such as Suriyacha Kirnani accompanied by Nephie to the joy of the audience.

 

The super hit jokes by Leslie and Claud provided laughter medicine and created laughter riot.

 

The special attraction of the show was  breathtaking and scintillating dances by “Bollywood Dancers” for the wonderful Hindi songs The total music for the show was provided by The father andson duo – Adrian and Alston Gomes from Kuwait and won the hearts of the Abu Dhabi audience.

 

Leo Rodrigues, former president and a well known community leader, entrepreneur was honoured Fr Valerian Fernandes, spiritual director of KCO  on the occasion.

 

The final session super singing by Ivan, Nephie, Claud and Kevin sang beautiful numbers such as Tum Sopon go Fanthyache Chandrem Uden ailo, Molbar Chandrem Udela, Marina and hindi songs namely, Yeh Vaada Raha, Ahiya , Rath Ke Humsafar and enthralled the audience.

 

On the occasion all the artistes including the singers, musicians, sound engineers and artists, media persons were honoured.
