Moodubelle Villagers Protest Against the Disruption of Electric Power Supply

Moodubelle, 07 April 2010: Being fed up with the erratic power supply by the Mescom, the disgruntled villagers from Moodubelle and surrounding regions organised a protest demonstration in front of the Mescom office at the Red Hill junction on Wednesday, 7th April, 2010. The Mescom officer at Moodubelle, Mr. Sameer accepted the memorandum from the protestors and promised that he will try his best to improve the power supply. However, the protestors insisted that the senior officer of Mescom should visit Moodubelle and resolve the problem of the erratic power supply as the irregular power supply has been causing a lot of inconvenience to the students who have been appearing for their annual examinations.
It was decided that the senior Mescom officer should visit Moodubelle on Thursday,15th April 2010 to understand the real problems faced by the villagers with regards to the power supply and find out a suitable solution. Besides, it was also suggested that even during the night time provision should be made for the presence of the line-man in Moodubelle.
The protest meeting was attended by Commodore Jerome Castelino, Gerald Fernandes, Shashidar Wagle, A.J.D’Souza, Rajendra Shetty, Devadas Hebbar, Vikas Shetty, Ivan D’Almeda and others.

| Dear Mr. Vikas Castelino, why are you so negative. First, to your unwanted comments Mr. Louis Lobo responded with a sense of humor. Then Mr. Victor D Souza explained on the inverters charging and that there was nothing wrong in the comments of Mr. Louis. But you don t want to wake up. Later Mr. Victor D almeida reminded you that there is no sense in your comments. But you just pretend to be sleeping and never want to wake up. Hopefully the advise from Mr. Stephen D. may refrain you from your further negative comments. Why are you making a mockery of yourself. Take a piece of adivse dear Mr. Vikas Castelino, when you point a finger at somebody at least some of the remaining fingers will always point towards you. This is the thumb rule. | |

| Dear Gentleman Mr. Vikas Castelino, when people are trying to make you understand the situation first, and then write your comments, you really dont understand and instead of this you are giving your negative comments from many days now. You are talking about maturity and you have showed that to everyone. Yes I have nothing to do with this as am not belong to Moodubelle. But i read all Bellevision comments very often and i think you need to change your mindset and negative attitude when you write any comments on any Electronic or Print Media. I Hope hereafter you will not write such irresponsible and negative comments against anyone before you understand the situation properly. | A power inverter converts DC (Direct Current) to standard AC (Alternating Current) which allows you to run electrical equipment in emergencies or simple convenience. In the case of Belle, the inverter gets charged whenever the Mescom electricity is available and allows you to use equipment (light, fan etc.) when electricity from Mescom is not available. So, there is nothing wrong in the comment that "those who have got the inverters at home they won t feel the difference" in the context it was mentioned. Of course if the electricity is not available for too long time and if the inverter is already discharged then it is a problem. But the issue was not the inverter. The commenter was emphasizing on the problems of people suffering when there is no power. | |

Actually Vikas you know what ? till today i was thinking that invertors we don t have to re- Charge them and it generates the power automatically and today only i came to know(that too through you)it has to be re-charge. Well done Mr.Vikas, atleast you know that it has to be re-charge and to re-charge it, you need a electricity power.keep it up. You have very bright future in electrical field. | |

| It is a nice move and initiative taken by Moodubelle people, as they dont have any other option left with them as most of the days people are suffering without electricity especially during the night time. Those who have got the inverters at home they wont feel the differences . But those who dont and relying only on the Mescom power supply - its a real hard time for them during the hot summer season. Also it necessary to keep a on duty lineman (24 hours) with the immediate Contact number, so that people dont have to wait until the next day morning when linemans are resume for their duty in case of power failure in the night. I hope Mescom will do the needful in whatever possible way to solve this problem which Moodubelle people are facing at moment. | |
