New Delhi: ICYM Gets Formally Elected Body for 2012- 2014

New Delhi, 01 Feb 2012: The ICYM (Indian Catholic Youth Movement) national council XXXII and biennial election VII took place at Seva Kendra, Kolkota from January 27 to 30.
Archbishop Thomas D’Souza of Kolkata offered the inaugural mass and prayed for its success. National youth director Fr Franklin D’Souza and Roshan Alexander, first president of ICYM 2000-2002 gave input on leadership.
Chairman of ICYM Archbishop Leo Cornelio of Bhopal was present throughout the meeting. ICYM president Ravi Robin Rounak conducted the meeting. National youth lady animator Sr Edleburg BS coordinated the programme. All the 13 regions were present.
On Jan 30, ICYM council members elected a new body for 2012 – 2014. They are;
President - Olima (Chattisgarh), general secretary – Titu Thomas (Kerala), vice president I – Savio (Madhya Pradesh),vice president II - Shanta (Uttar Pradesh), spokesperson – Anita (North East), joint spokesperson - Alison (Western Region), treasurer – Phillip (Andhra Pradesh), Assistant treasurer – Asha (Orissa), secretary I - Shraddha (West Bengal), Secretary II - Gilbert (Karnataka), Secretary III - Jennifer (Tamil Nadu), secretary IV - Pratibha (Bijhan)
Regional youth cirectors representative I & II: Fr Prakash Chandra Nanda (Chhattisgarh), Fr Mari Joseph (Karnataka)
Regional Youth Lady Animator’s Representative I & II: Sr. Regina (North East), Sr. Usha (Bijhan)
The meeting concluded with the handing-over ceremony on Jan 30.
