Religious forums provide awareness of good values-Rajendra Bekal

Bajagoli,04 Sept 2011: The life of a person is quite noble and there is an opportunity to atone the sins committed in past lives. The good works that one does in society gives mental satisfaction. Remembering God and worshipping him has been instilled in a person since his childhood by which the pain of life can be forgotten. Religious forums are the means to provide awareness of good values, said Rajendrta Bekal, the Executive Officer of the Karkala Taluk Panchayat while speaking at the Sarvajanika Ganeshotsva oganised by the Karkala Bajagoli Shri Ganapati Seva Samiti on Friday, 2 September 2011.
Delivering religious discourse, B. Pundalika Marathe, Shirva, member of the Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy said that in the building of the nation, Indians should be united and Indian culture should be promoted as was visulaised by Bala Gangadhara Tilak. In this direction, the Ganesh Utsavas are bing celebrated not only in India but also abroad by the Indian community. By promoting patriotism, religious harmony and undertaking various social activities the Sarvajanika Ganeshotsava Mandals are douing a lot of good work.
Dharanendra Jain, President of Mala-Kervase Vyavcasaya Seva Sahakari Sangha presided over the programme. The chief guests included Geeta Patkar, Vice President of Mudaru Grama Panchayat, Krishnaraja Shetty, senior member of Ganapati Seva Samiti, Ravi Shanker of Shri Durga Parameshwari Motors, Ravindra Shetty, Businessman, Ratnakara Shetty, Hotleir of Bajagoli, Mahabala Madival. These dignitaries distributed prizes to the winners of various competitions.
The programme was compeered by Teacher Nagesh; Samiti President Suresh Shetty welcomed the guests and Mamata proposed the vote of thanks. Following the stage programme there was Bharata Natya presented by Nritya Sinchana Karkala and a Tulu social play “Yenna Kathe Barepara” by Sneha Kalavidharu, Bajagoli.
