Women are always beautiful at any age if you are seeking inner beauty which is more important. Confidence is surely a factor that increases the beauty which comes with the age.

This is normal. The objective of the project was to make super money, not timely delivery. Now that a crisis has been deliberately created by wasting time in the initial stages, every purchase and procurement henceforth be on a war footing, a splendid opportunity to make money. All purchase procedures will be thrown to the wind; politicians and govt officials will line their pockets. All as planned!

I remeber reading in news paper about 6 months ago when CWG international committee person complained about how work was not being completed on-time and offered help. These 2 idiots in charge of CWG (Suresh and Gill) said they did not need any help and they did not agree with assessment and they know what they are doing. This is the same story every where in India. NRI help would not mean anything. It is a culture. Look at newest airport terminal T3 at IGI airport and dog is roaming the runway. Train accidents where many people die because the infra-structure is very poor.

From this report, I gather that this one of the most resourceful wards. Many well known profiles here. Greetings to all, especially to Denis Padryab, Julli-bai, Inna-ba, and Ewjyab. I went to the drama, Mataro Chorbela, in Doha and thought Shanti Barboza did justice to her role. Furtther, I think our girls and young women must emulate Jana Eppler s simplicity in attire and make-up.

This is what happens when politicians and bureaucrats constitute the organizing committee. These people are all thieves. What will happen in the worst case scenario? Nothing. Talk of national pride and shame are for common people. If stadiums collapses and people die.. who cares? After all has any of them been ever penalized for anything? Off course not.

The enactment fulfills one of the Directive Principles of State Policy as laid down in Indian Constitution under Article 48, which of I quote: Organisation of agriculture and animal husbandry
"The State shall endeavour to organise agriculture and animal husbandry on modern and scientific lines and shall, in particular, take steps for preserving and improving the breeds, and prohibiting the slaughter, of cows and calves and other milch and draught cattle".

Farmers have following choices: 1. Exit from dairy business and let the government run it along modern and scientific lines. 2. Let them also switch to camels, donkeys, horses, dogs, foxes, monkeys and other such draught animals; and hand their cattle (bulls etc) to the government care.

Suresh Kalmadi and Sheila Dixit are not bothered at all, as for them common wealth games are just like another indian wedding where preparations continues till the wedding itself is finished and nobody remembers it after the marriage.

Kalmadi had no clue of the scope of work involved and the huge responsibilities he is shouldering. I do not know much about his past credentials and experience, but none of that really matters. What matters is the fact that the world has noticed our ill-preparedness a year ago and cautioned us; we are still ill-prepared now ready to go into the event and host so many nations. The outcome is indeed undesirable.

A couple of days back, our Sports Minister Mr.M.S.Gill was lamenting that he wanted STARS to participate in the forthcoming Commonwealth Games in Delhi. Well, he neednt look too far. All he has got do is request his colleague Kalmadi to send a wild card entry to the lady MLA from Bihar. She will at least win some medals for India for: 1) Discus Throw, 2) Weight Lifting, 3) Shot Putt (or should we say SHOT POT?). We Indians really donT know how to spot TALENT within ourselves.

I agree whole-heartedly with the author of this post.

Before we use scape goats... We need to work on enforcing the rules at all levels.

Developed nations are not developed simply because of their nuke power or their GDP.

It s the basic attitude that separates them from the undeveloped or the so called developing nations.

Law makers make laws to protect thier resources, human and otherwise... and law enforcers work on ensuring that the laws are abided by.

Their avg poor man nation is as needy as ours.

But the developed nations do no allow their needy to simply stand in the middle the road to beg. They beg... but away from the traffic.

The poor set up temporary shafts even in developed nations... but not under the blasting mines or beside a poisonous factory... and definitely not without a statutory warning at least.

The warnings are a loop hole for the bigwigs and the culprits to get away in case of a mishap. But even the the loop-holes... are customized.

Which means... the law-enforcers ensure that at-least the basic regulations are enforced.

And those basic rules and regulation enforced and followed... go a long way in making these developed nations developed.

This is really funny, is Clinton fooling the world. America should stop the trillion dollar funding to Pakistan, which they are using to procure arms and ammunitions and supplying them to terrorists. Ms. Clinton, Osaman is in Pakistan and so is Dawood Ibrahim and so are every terrorists, all who enjoy the secure life with protection from pak army. Stop funding and pampering Pakistan if anything has to change.

I was privileged to work under Lawrence at a very young age when he was associated with SKIP and St. Mary s ITI. Highly practical in his thoughts and work culture. I am talking about the 20 year back old story when i was a student learning carpentry. Lawrence, I always knew you would make it big and when you take decisions it will always be bang on Target. I am proud to have been associated with you. Am still in Bangalore...

This picture makes us to think how narrow and parochial minded we are! A little proactive initiative would have saved at least some paint which could have been used somewhere else. Moreover, the painter could have taken the dead branch and used it as fire wood at home. May be the painter is using his teeth to paint and does not have hands? Pathetic!

"Muddu Annag saveera Solmelu". Great personality. Though i didn t meet him during my childhood days, i used to see him in Belle and hear him in Akashvani mangalure - tulu programmes. Recently i had an opportunity to talk to him. Such a humble person, down to earth and inspiring others to achieve their goals in life. i can say he speak konkani better than any of us.
Thank you Dr. Eugene for exploring the profile of Mr. Muddu Moodubelle.

It is really tragic and I feel sad for the victims and also feel anger towards Indian Railway. Anti Collision Device (ACD), which is an on-board train protection device and also the first ever device in the world indigenously developed by Konkan Railway with their Technical Partner Kernex Microsystems (I) Ltd, will be in place by 2013 on the entire Indian Railway network so as to reduce chances of Train collisions. But I don’t understand why wait till 2013 ?

Good job Principal, teachers and students of St.Lawrence Junior College. But this task should not stop by just distributing saplings. Please make sure that every student take care of atleast one or two saplings and there must be some kind of continous assessment and monitoring of progress periodically. May be these children can be alloted extra marks or grades basis the result which will encourage the children and will also help in realising the goal. School is the ideal platform to impliment these ideas. The 2 saplings which I got from school (from Ananthrai master) during my high school days are now big grownup trees today and i am proud of my teacher and my achievement.

Train accidents are on the increase now a days. From the picture this appears to be one of the worst, with one train ramming the other at a very high speed ! Otherwise the bogy can not get torn longitudinally and resting on a concrete pillar! The casualties could be quite high. Why should the train accidents keep happening mostly in West Bengal and Bihar ? Does it have anything to do with the railway ministers are always from these two states?
