May I suggest a track-II initiative that should have an impact on curbing robberies? The temples, mosques and churches should reform. They must spend bulk of their collections from devotees for empowerment of local poor. Least possible must be spent on jewels and gold for the temple deities, or towards ecumenical contributions to church hierarchies etc. As the wealth, its visibility and at times grotesque display has increased, the pain of today s poor gets acuter, than in the sixties when majority of us were poor. So, the wealthy must reform themselves and be more charitable. My viewpoint will be appreciated better if one looks at crime rates in Kenya, South Africa, and even Brazil.

It is just not the sand alone.I, request govt.authorities to go little further in stopping looting of wealth of Karnataka state systematically by the traders of Kerala state. Our cattles are regularly smuggled to that state.Sandle wood is native to our state but you find more factories in kerala manufacturing sandle wood products.Every now then you hear stories of missing girls from udupi dakshina kannada districts probably cheated by organised anti-social elements. Our mangalore city is almost taken over by kerala people. Now, just listen to another unthinkable affair. Our poor, uneducated people are conned in selling precious old coins, old heritage furniture, agriculture equipments etc. in return for few rupees. After transporting these goods to kerala, they were exhibited as their own heritage goods or re-sold for higher prices. We,the common people can prevent the plundering of the wealth of our state by at least creating awareness at various political or no-political platforms.Only better awareness can stop all these malpractices. otherwise days are not far from radio collaring our cattle, tree s and human beings. The citizen of Belle Kattingere villages are lucky to have a police officer at Shirva Police Station. He is very nice human and man of good understanding. In a rural areas like Belle Kattingere, his experiment will give good results because the people are made to involved. Such brilliant officers must be encouraged and supported. I wish all success in the endeavour proposed by Mr Naik, the S.I. of shirva Police Station and look forward to see trouble free days ahead.

I do agree with Darshan. It is shameful to Konkan railway administration not to disclose the details of truly konkan bound trains. Please be remember forever that you are standing on konkan land to serve all corners of India!!! So why not be proud of this beautiful dedicated land and their devoted peoples?? What is there to loose, for konkan railway, in giving information on all the trains related to this track...

Our Railway name is "KONKAN RAILWAY" while going through news there is no any information about Mandvi or Konkan Kanya express but othertrain reschedule carefully given by Konkan railway news department. Why Konkan Railway not taking care of KonKan Pepole even though they used Name as "Konkan".

If people and police work together the anti social elements can be curbed. Together with the monthly visit by police team, also if they can establish a telephone contact between the representatives of the volunteers and police team. This move by the S.I. of Shirva Police Station and the Leaders of Moodubelle will surely have the impact on crimes.
