I liked the way Mr. Modi spoke in his victory speech. Human is weak, and mistakes might happen. He apoligised for them. But some mistakes bring lot of changes in society. If good life and security if all religion people get, they will definitely prefer the leader who provides that. We must all understand that, still congress thinks Indian voters are uneducated. But in Gujrat election educated people have rejected the rubbish speeches of Congress Leaders. Shame to them. When common people can see the developments in the state do Sonia Gandhi and Rahul did not observe that. Dear congress people get up and understand how to become like a aggressive, worthy leader like Modi.

A sport is an integral part of student life and especially annual sports day is one of the most eagerly awaited events in a school or college calendar. I was thrilled to read on BV that all the five St. Lawrence Educational institutions gathered for three-days-long sports meet. For the first time in the history of the St. Lawrence Educational institutions such joint venture was organized. Truly! a good move and a trendsetter for all the other Institutions in Udupi district. Congratulations to all those who have been very active in taking part and winners alike. Once again good see the enthusiasm shown by the management of St. Lawrence Institutions, Moodubelle. A big thank you, Dr Eugene Dsouza, Anil Alva and Bellevision Media Network for the report and pictures.

The reporter has painstakingly covered event highlights and captured expressions of both the dignitaries and artists in their best moments.
He has not engaged in any analysis of issues raised, speeches made and opinions expressed.
The ADKS is lucky to have sponsors of high net worth with deep pockets and connections in government establishments.

I liked this paregraph!!
"Love fails frail humans again when it is most needed. When we are young, pretty, healthy, happy, prosperous, and desirable, love is just a four letter word; it is easy to give and receive. Love is tested in our ugliest moments, when we are jobless, powerless, ill, desperate, angry, frustrated, hungry and naked, ugly and aged, in pain and penury. Love is needed when we are not needed by anyone or at least we feel we are not loved by anyone. This love is not of the self. But of those whom we profess love for; a love that can endure any torment and shame. Alas, such love was not to be, for Jacinta."

It was a great experience to organise 9th Vishwa Kannada Samskruthi Sammelana-2012. My sincere thanks goes to all the visiting artists from Bangalore, Davangere, Bagalkot Mumbai and the UAE Kannadiga s who have participated in Ghosti s and variety entertainment programmes. Special mention goes to NRI ghosti and Madhyama ghosti but for our badluck no Government officials were available for answering our queries. Finally KUDOS to all the Committee members of Abu Dhabi Karnataka Sangha Sponsors for making this mega event a grand success. My special thanks goes to my dear friend Alphonse Mendonca for his detailed report

Indeed this service will beat all other private bus service. I often travel by KSRTC on pune-bangalore route. ‘Airavat Bliss’ service should be applied on long routes as pune/mumbai because there is need of such facilities. I am sure KSRTC will get benifited on this route with Bliss service.

Jacintha Edna Barboza nee Saldhana, MAY YOUR SOUL REST IN ETERNAL PEACE and our beloved father in JESUS CHRIST give all the comfort to to her husband and children whom they will miss forever. It is was an unfortunate tragedy and it is hard for all her loved ones known and unknown to bear the untimely loss of this wonderful and God fearing woman. Many lives have been shattered by this untimely death of Jacintha. The healing process is slow and hard for the family to bear the loss of the loved one but God will take care.

I would like to add: Every traveler to Japan is left wondering how such a gentle race can be so cruel, tough and rough too? She was my schoolmate. A year junior to me. I remember her as a beautiful person inside and out. Calm, composed and strong. I still can\ t believe that she took a drastic decision to end her life. She should have fought back. I\ m deeply saddened by this incident and cannot come to terms with it.

The mortal remains of Jascintha coming to India is the good gesture of the Governments, without sitting n judgments. The comments of Philip are well writtenaand appropriate. What ever be the cause of jascintha\ s death, there is no reason to discuss them now. If there is forgiveness in the realm of the LOrd she is also entitled to and irrespective of the causes of her death she is to be accepted and buried in the place meant for dead people at her Parish at Shirva. I only wish that the Lord Almighty may forgive her and accept her soul in HIS abode, we call Heaven. Tears will wash away her sins.

Francis lobo, Bejai/Mangalore
15/12/2012 13:27:15

Dear Philip. The thoughts expressed by you are right and most relevant, although they are harsh, they show the consequences of the action one takes of his/her own life. I had heard and seen the dogma of the church in my younger days and seen burials like your Aunt or neighbor. In most of the suicide cases it is a momentary decision or sometimes it is taken under duress or torment. Loneliness really bites in such situation. Jacintha was lonely at the moment when she took the decision, but she had taken this decision after a long passage of the incident (3 days). She had written letters to prove her point. She might have been fully aware of the consequences to the family and her near ones. But it was a surprise why she was not able to communicate with her friends or near and dear ones. Anyway it is not a time to look back on what she did and what she should have done. It is a moment to say RIP Jacintha

These so called kannada Catholics protesting against the Konkani Catholics are as much as fanatic as the two old couple in that video who have a obnoxious view on Hinduism they keep ranting about spending 6 years in India and talking crap about Hinduism via caste system and Goddess kali forgetting that the converted christian in India also follow the same caste system and that caste word is not there mentioned in any of the Hindu scriptures and that it is a Portuguese word [casta] picked by the East India company who mistook Varna Shastra to the Portuguese caste system. Caste Discrimination is a social Issue like dowry is and like slavery was back then driven by White Christians in europe and had nothing to do with christianity similarly caste discrimination has nothing to do with Hinduism[Satana Dharma] ; the Hindu guy in the video aptly shut-ted the two old fanatic couples saying if they consider Hinduism is all about Caste system then we hindus can similarly tag Christianity with slavery, killing women in name of witch hunting and with crusaders.
