Kuntalnagar, 02 January 2009: St. Antony youth club, in association with other organizations of the church celebrated the Christmas by presenting Tablo (Christmas Shanti Sandesha) at two places in the parish region. The Tablo was presented at Dendoorkatte and Kuntalnagar locality on 24th Dec 2009 “Christmas Eve”.

The tablo started with the procession of vehicles from the church at 17:00 hrs leading towards Dendoorkatte village with the vehicles with the Crib followed by the choir group and others. The procession came to 1st halt at Dendoorkatte at 17.15pm on 24th Dec 2009.

The celebration started with the introduction and the significance of Christmas, later it was followed by a dance called ’DAVIDA NAGARADOL’ by children’s and continued with a small skit. On the occasion of Vishwa Tulu sommelana in Mangalore, this year the Skit was played in local language Tulu which was appreciated by the localities. Later following his valuable wordings, once again a dance was performed by small children’s, called ’Taaregalu Minigidavu’. Refreshments (Christmas cake & lime juice) were served to the people gathered, which was sponsored by the respective wards of the places.

Finally, Santa Claus gave his appearance to the people; he wished all people a merry Christmas and danced along with the children’s.

The program lasted for 30 minutes. The choir group of the church sung Christmas carols all the way during the procession...

The same was repeated at Kuntalnagar from 18:30 Hrs on 24th Dec 2009. The villagers from both Dendoorkatte and Kuntalnagar gave as a warm welcome.

The program came out very well and was appreciated by the people in the locality.
