Udupi: Kuntalnagar parishioners celebrate the Birthday of Fr. Denis DSa

Udupi, 20 Sep 2013: The Birthday of Fr. Denis D’Sa, the parish priest of St. Antony’s Church, Kuntalnagar and the PRO of the Udupi Diocese was celebrated  with great enthusiasm by the parishioners on September 20, 2013 in the church.  Fr. Denis along with Rev. Dr. Baptist Menezes, Vicar General of Udupi Diocese, Rev. Fr. Fred Mascarenhas, Dean of Udupi Deanery and Fr. Edwin D’Souza, Director of ICYM offered thanksgiving mass on the occasion of his birthday. A large number of parishioners were present for the mass. Mrs. Mary D’Sa-mother of Fr. Denis and Mrs. Dorothy saldanha and Mrs. Lavina D’Souza-sisters of Fr. Denis were also present.

 

 

Following the mass, a brief felicitation function was organized by the parishioners. Fr. Denis D’Sa cut the birthday cake along with his mother and sisters. In his message, Rev. Dr. Baptist Menezes extended warm greetings on the occasion of his birthday to Fr. Denis D’Sa.  The guest priests and the parishioners greeted Fr. Denis D’Sa with flower bouquets  and garlands.

 

Fr. Denis D’Sa thanked the guest priests, his mother and sisters as well as all the parishioners for celebrating his birthday with love and affection.  Miss. Valita Lobo compeered the programme, Valerian Mathais, Vice President of the Parish Pastoral Council welcomed the guests and gathering and Theodore Mendonca, Secretary of the Parish Pastoral Council proposed the vote of thanks.
