Udupi: District Scouts & Guides Holds Rally at Manipal

Udupi, 27 Feb 2013: The district scouts and guides and Kallianpur unit jointly organized a rally at Madhavakripa School, Manipal, near here recently.

 
Salvador Crasta of Kallianpur scouts and guides presided the stage programme.

 
Pearson Group south zonal education co-ordinator Dr Kusum flagged off the rally.

 

 

 
The honorary president P Rabindra Nayak, Madhavakripa School principal Jessy Andrews, Udupi district guides commissioner Rajalaxmi Shetty, souts commissioner Edwyn Alva, district chief commissioner K B Rao were others were present.

 
The state chief commissioner Shantavi Acharya explained the importance of scouts and guides.

 
The head teacher Leena Rajan welcomed the gathering.  Vinay Shet compered the programme.  The school guides teacher Mallika presented the report.  Scout master Prashant proposed vote of thanks.

 
After the rally, painting competition, fancy dress competitions, preparing kites, adventure activities etc were held.
