Santosh D’Souza Bajpe elected as the new president of Catholic Sabha Mangalore Central

Mumbai (RBI), May 11: The annual elections for the 2025-26 year of the Catholic Sabha Mangaluru Pradesh (R.) organization of the Mangalore Dharmakshetra were held at the Sabha Bhavan of the residence of the diocesan president of the Mangalore Dharmakshetra, and Santosh D’Souza Bajpe was unanimously elected as the new central president.
Venerable Dr. J.B. Saldanha, the Central Spiritual Director, recalled the election of the new Pope Leo XIV before the election and guided the election through prayer in the same manner. President Santosh D’Souza Bajpe, First Vice President Lawrence D’Souza Surathkal, Second Vice President Leo Rodrigues Madantyar, General Secretary Wilma Monteiro Derebail, Joint Secretary Alvin Rodrigues Moodbidre Alamgar, Treasurer Francis Monteiro Mariashram Talapadi, Joint Treasurer Lavina Gretta D’Souza Ranipura were all elected unopposed.
Former President Lancey D’Cunha conducted the election as Returning Officer and Jerry Peter Rodriguez as Election Observer. All the elected office bearers were congratulated by the Central Spiritual Director Venerable Dr. J.B. Saldanha, Immediate Past President Alvin D’Souza Paneer, former Central Presidents Walter D’Souza, Marito Sequeira, L.J. Fernandes, Gerald D’Costa, Jerry Peter Rodrigues, Andrew Noronha, Lancey D’Cunha, Nigel Pereira, Anil Lobo, Plevi D’Souza, Paul Rolfe D’Costa, Stani Lobo, Zone Presidents Roshan Boniface Martis, Leo Sequeira, Stani Miranda, Albert Sunil Monis, Joan Lasrado, Aida Fudtado, Dolphi D’Souza, Gerald Mascarenhas and all members of the Executive Committee congratulated the new office bearers.
