Mumbai: Vasai Konkani Welfare Association celebrates Monti Fest 2022

Mumbai, 21 Sep 2022: Vasai Konkani Welfare Association (VKWA) celebrated its 12th Monti Fest at Vishwakarma Hall, Vasai, here on Saturday September 10.

 

Programme started at 5.30pm with a procession of the statue of Infant Mary with a prayer dance by children.

 

 

Stage cultural programme started sharp at 6.00pm with a welcome address by VKWA president Reginald Santhumayer and prayers sung by VKWA woman’s wing members and prayer dance.

 

 

 

Followed by a variety of cultural programme like dance, singing and short skits.

 

During the stage program we distributed prizes to winners of Konkani talent competition organised by VKWA on August 24.  Between cultural programme Milk mixed with Niven distributed to all people.

 

VKWA advisor Jessie Menezes,   Reginald Santhmayer, vice president Edward Gomes, honorary president John D’Souza, secretary Albert D’Costa, treasure Henry Pinto, founder president Steffen Fernandes, former president Ancy paladka, Fr John Pinto, KWA Virar president Dian D’Souza, Naigaon Association advisor Ivan  Rebello are presented on the dais.

 

Fr John graced Noven Jevon sharp at 8.30pm after the thanksgiving address by John D’Souza and the gathering of about 350 enjoyed tasty Noven Jevon prepared by Joshi Catering Services Vasai.

 

The programme hosted by Oliver D’Souza Angelore and VKWA joint secretary Jacinta Ambrose.

 

The event concluded with traditional Italian hymn Laudate.
