Kaup, 01 January 2011: The election was peaceful in the various Vidhana Sabha constituencies of Kaup such as Kaup, Shirva, Yellur, Padubidri, Udyavara Jilla Panchayath constituencies. But the response was dull from the voters as until noon in most of the places only 20 % voters only turned up for voting. In the voting centers also there was not much crowd so that the voters did not have to wait for long hours for their turn to vote.
Since the voting machines were used the voting was conducted without any difficulty in a quick manner. In some places malfunction of the voting machines caused some difficulty to the officers. But in the early hours there was not much crowd, so the malfunction of the machine did not cause too much problem. Due to Chrismas holidays the voting was less in some booths.
