Complete 4-laning of NH 17 fast, DC tells NHAI

Surathkal, 02 September 2010: Deputy Commissioner V Ponnuraj directed Ircon company officials and NHAI to complete the four-laning of NH 17 at the earliest. 

 

 

 
The work on railway over bridge at Baikampady will be carried out jointly by NMPT, Railway department and Ircon company. He directed the officials concerned to complete the work in Surathkal and Kulur flyover.

He also directed to evict illegal buildings which are coming in the way of road widening. He asked the officials to remove the pipeline near Kottara and provide a service road at the earliest.

NHAI Project Officer Prashanth N Gawasane said that the tender process is on for the proposed overbridge at Baikampady and B C Road and underbridge at Padil. One year time has been given for the completion of the work.

The DC received grievances from the public. Mayor Rajani Dugganna, Police Commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh were present.
