Outstanding Students & Teachers f’ted at Pangala parish

Udupi, Sep 06, 2014: The Catholic Sabha of Pangala parish near here organized the felicitation programme to the 29 outstanding students who had scored highest marks in the final examinations of SSLC, PUC and degree at parish community hall, on August 31. 

 

Thirty-nine teachers were also felicitated in view of Teachers Day celebrations on the same occasion.

 

 

St John’s Pre-University College principal Fr Vincent Coehlo presided the programme.  

 

John Lobo, in his introductory address expressed the importance of honoring the outstanding students and committed teachers.

 

Fr Vincent Coelho felicitated the students and teachers on the occasion.

 

Fr Vincent in his presidential address appreciated tTeachers and students for their hard work and invited all Pangalites to bloom in their respective areas of interest.

 

John P Mendonca highlighted the role of teachers and students in the society.

 

The retired teacher Irene Noronha who had served 36 years as a teacher was felicitated on this occasion.

 

The student Nikitha and teacher Clara Mendonca who were felicitated thanked the organizers.

 

Pamboor parish council vice president Mark Vaz and secretary Simmy D’Souza was present on the occasion.

 

Catholic Sabha president Juliet D’Souza welcome the gathering. Secretary Anita D’Souza proposed vote of thanks.  Bro Rolwyn Fernandes invoked God’s blessings. Flavia Menezes compered the programme.

 

The joy of the celebration was witnessed by the parents of the students; the felicitation programme rejuvenated the spirit of outstanding students and committed teachers.
