Moodubelle: Mother Teresa Ward celebrates Ward Feast

Moodubelle, 18 October 2011: The Ward Feast of Mother Teresa Ward was celebrated on Sunday, October 16, 2011 at 12.30pm at the residence of Casmir Menezes. The feast Mass was offered on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at 4pm.
The stage programme on Sunday, October 17, 2011 was attended by the Parish Priest –Rev. Fr. Joswey Fernandes, Assistant Parish Priest-Fr. Lancy Saldanha, Fr. Maxim Pinto (OFM-Cap), Sisters from the Loreto Convent and  Secretary f the Parish Pastoral Council-Mrs. Jacinta D’Souza.

 

 

The programme was compeered by Joslin.  Mrs. Jacinta Mathias-Gurkarn of the Ward welcomed  the guests and the members of the ward. The programme was started by lighting the lamp. During the programme, the former Gurkar of the ward-Gerald Fernandes was honoured by Fr. Joswey. In his address, Fr. Joswey appealed the ward members to follow the example of Mother Teresa in serving the community.

 

Former Gurkar Gerald Fernandes as well as Secretary Mrs. Jacinta D’Souza expressed their feelings during the programme. Irene Mathias read the report of the activities oof the ward during the past year. Children as well as adults entertained the gathering through dance, singing and skits. Mrs. Lydia Fernandes  proposed the vote of thanks.
