Kaup: Cheques distributed under Fisheries Support Project

Kaup, 05 April 2011: Under Karnataka Government Fisheries Support Project for poor fishermen-women, 20 persons were distributed with the cheques by Kaup MLA Lalaji R. Mendon at Kaup MLA Office. Also on this occasion Ice boxes were issued to the women members of Kaup Fishing Cooperative Sangha for selling fish.

 

 

Soth Kenara and Udupi District Fish Marketing Federation President Yashpal Suvarna, Taluk Panchayath members Shambhavi Kulal, Kavitha Suvarna, Sachin G. Nayak, Kaup Grama Panchayath President Yogish Rai, Kaup Grama Panchayathmember Dinesh Kotian, Umesh, Sudhakara Karkera Hejamadi, Kaup Mogaveera Mahasabha President Mohan Bangera were present on the occasion.

 

 

Efforts to resolve drinking water problem in Kaup Constituency

 

Shirva, 05 April 2011: “In order to resolve the problems of the drinking water the task force is already in action and  from the government rupees 15 lakhs grants has been released” said Kaup MLA Lalaji R. Mendon.  He was speaking upon inaugurating a Kaup Hoballi level interaction with the people program at Shirva Church South Sabha Bhavan on Saturday.

 
He said that in coordination with the local authorities the arrangements have been already made to allot housing plots to all those who do not have a house in Kaup constituency. Already experimental program is in process at six Grama panchayaths for marking the housing plots rapidly. Under Akrama Sakrama project already about eight thousand applications are pending for allotment. Every Saturday of the month Akrama Sakrama Committee meets and efforts are made for the allotment. Also in the land tribunal the pending applications will be sorted out soon said MLA Lalaji Mendon.

 

 

 
On this occasion a cheque of rupees 50,000 as a grant to Uliyaragoli Babbuswami Temple, rupees 75,000 as a compensation to three beneficiaries, rupees 40,000 national family help fund to four, Sandhya Suraksha, Vidhavavethana, 45 pension allotted letters to physically challenged persons and three tillers from Agricultural Department, all these were distributed by MLA Lalaji Mendon.

 
Udupi Taluk panchayath Administrative officer Manjunathayya and Majoor Grama Panchayath President Ganesh Shetty were the Chief Guests of the program. Udupi Thashildar Prasanna Kumar welcomed the guests and the gathering. Kuthyaru Grama Panchayth Secretary Nandeesh proposed vote of thanks. Guruva Kulal compeered the program.
