Preparation for the family feast has begun. Nice to see lots of children offering the flowers to Infant Mary along with elders and priests. But the Grotto looks very shabby needs a facelift during this centinary celebrations.

This place requires some urgent attention from the authorities. Not only on cleanliness front, but also in giving proper structure to the marketplace.

29/08/2010 21:58:35

The scene is a horrible mess. This is health hazardous and could spread deceases. Also there is a garbage bin on the main road opposite the school which usually overflows and sometimes there is clinical waste in or around it. The leaders of Belle must seriously act on the cleanness of the market place and the whole town place, keeping it tidy.

Ivan Lobo, Bangalore
29/08/2010 15:02:09

There must be some budget for the maintenance of the market place. May be it is not being utilized properly. The pictures show that this place has not seen maintenance for quite a long time, may be months or years. How come it is being ignored by the members of the Panchayath, because this place is on their way to Panchayath office.

Vincent, Belle
29/08/2010 14:42:12

Really shocked seeing the pathetic condition of our market place. Thanks to Bellevision for reporting this. If the people responsible for the cleanliness and also the authorities might atleast see the report and realise that the place needs a clean up.

\"Horage shrangaara, olage golisoppu\" - this is the situvation of Moodubelle. Other day in the Grama sabha the elected representatives and so called leaders are arguing to cover up their inefficiencies. See this place, which is suppose to be most cleaner than any other place since it is adjacent to the public offices. Our leaders who are boating their achievements turned thier blind eye on this. This is very shameful as well as very dangerours as far as health hazards are concerned. It is high time for the public to make these public servents to make work for the cleanliness of the entire area and keep it tidy to prevent the spread of deseases.

When there was a litter of puppies in any body s house, the male puppies were booked in advance for adaptation and the poor females (boggy) were in waiting to be selected. If no one turned up, they were bundled up and thrown in to the swelling river. Now the times have changed and lucky for some females, they are abandoned in a market place so that compassionate people can give them shelter. This same mean mentality was also evident when a girl was born in a household. Times have changed for the better but not for the best!

Please note that poppy seeds are banned in the UAE and the Gulf countries. If any one want to bring them in should fry and powder them. Never bring them in raw. You will be in deep trouble if you do that. You can be jailed for life!

Indian response was timely and appropriate for this kind of unnecessary provocation. China has been doing such nasty tricks for quite some time and need an answer in the same coin. There is no need to escalate the situation further and overdo things because this is a diplomatic row.

Ideal would have been to have no tax upto 5 lakhs, 10 percent between 5 to 15 lacs, 20 percent for 15 to 25 lakhs, 30 percent above. Crack down heavily on bill less sales, tax evasion etc. See the indirect taxes swell. Pity that the Finance Minister does not have a vision beyond what his officials tell him.

It is to be noted that the then West Bengal Government headed by late Mr Jyothi Basu ordered a state funeral for her which was later handed over to the army by the Central Government headed by Mr I. K. Gujral to over see the security arrangements for the dignitaries who arrived from all over the world. The gun carriage which was used for Mahatma Gandhi s funeral was also used for her funeral. With a twenty one gun salute she was laid to rest. All this shows the greatness of her personality and the secular fabric of our Indian society.

I am great ful to God for giving us the services of MOther Theresa. I was lucky to be embraced by her in December 1980 when I was in Calcutta, in a Jaycee Annual meet, where she came as a Chief guest. Her touch made great changes in me. Today she is Holy mother. Let us pray that she will be proclaimed as a Saint soon. The graces craved in her name are granted and poor and the down throdden long to seek her help through the MIissioneries of Charity. Let us praise God and also this writer in Belle vision to refresh memory of MOTHER THERESA.

Mother Theresa believed placed in God s Providence and not on strengths and resources which is message she gives us through her venture of caring the poorest and downtrodden. I love her and pray for the strength that she may give me to accept Gods Providential plan for me. God Transforms us the world and its race from time to time through me and i can be an instrument by cooperating in GOD s work and lending my resources. Her quality of caring the uncared and downtrodden is to be imbibed to transform the sufferings and pain of this world. May she pray to GOD to take away all our sufferings and pain from our lives and kindle the fire in us to care for our brethren and sisters. Amen

I congratulate and thank all those who worked day and night to make this event a grand sucess. Going through the expences, I feel that the funds were well spent - only a sum of IRS. 7,26,433 were in fact spent on the celebrations; another sum of IRS. 21,73,123 were spent to maintain the institutions and their surroundings which can be considered quasi investment and a sum of IRS. 8,70,000 were deposited towards education funds. Those who can be trusted in small things can also be trusted in greater things. Well done Fr Paul.
