1.What percentage is 408 lakhs of a annual MLA constituency development fund (CDF)?
2. How much is annual fund of a MLA? (MP has 500 lakhs annually under Local Area Development, LAD.His constituency may have 7 or 8 MLAs. By this logic, a MLA CDF may be around 50 lakhs annually?
3. What about other villages, GP TP within Kapu constituency? Did each of them get 408 lakhs? If not, is favoritism?
4. How much of a total of 2500 lakhs of MPLAD (1750 during Sadananda Gawda, likely 750 under JPH) of Udupi-Chikmaglur is shared with Kapu?
The MP and MLA performance ha sto be judged by 100% utilization, transparency, creation of permanent assets, inclusion of local bodies and public in identifying and prioritizing development projects and control on standards of probity and professionalism in tendering and execution to lasting quality work. Not in owning the funds.

ನಮ್ಮ ಉಡುಪಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಇಂತಹ ಸಮಿತಿಗಳನ್ನು ರಚಿಸುವುದು ಅತ್ಯಗತ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ. ಯಾಕೆಂದರೇ ಕಾಪು ಶಾಸಕರು ಗುದ್ದಲಿ ಪೂಜೆ ಮಾಡಿರುವ ಈ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಭಾರೀ ಸಂಶಯಗಳಿವೆ. 

ಮಣೆ೯ - ಕವಾ೯ಲು - ಅಲೆವೂರು ನಡುವೆ (5.40 ಕಿಮಿ) ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಡಾಮರು ರಸ್ತೆ ಇದ್ದು ಅಲ್ಲಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವು ಕಡೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಳಾಗಿದೆ. ಅದರ ದುರಸ್ತಿಗೆ 2.23 ಕೋಟಿ ರು. ವೆಚ್ಚ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಸಂಶಯಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಮಣೆ೯ - ಅಂಗಡಿಬೆಟ್ಟು 1.50 ಕಿಮಿ ಡಾಮರೀಕರಣಕ್ಕೆ 1.29 ಕೋಟಿ ರು. ವೆಚ್ಚದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂಡ ಅವ್ಯವಹಾರದ ವಾಸನೆ ಹೊಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದೆ. 

ಈ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿಗಳು ಶಾಸಕರ ನಿಧಿಯಿಂದಲೂ ಆಗುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ. ಕಾರಣ ಶಾಸಕರಿಗೆ ದೊರೆಯುವ ಪ್ರದೇಶಾಭಿವೖದ್ಧಿ ನಿಧಿ ಕೇವಲ 1 ಕೋಟಿ ರು.ಗಳು ಮಾತ್ರ. ಸಕಾ೯ರದಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮ ಗ್ರಾಮ - ನಮ್ಮ ರಸ್ತೆ ಯೋಜನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಿರುವ ಅನುದಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿಗಳು ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿವೆ. ಶಾಸಕರ ನಿಧಿಯಿಂದ ಈ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿವೆ ಎನ್ನುವುದು ಸುಳ್ಳು, ಜನರಿಗೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ಮೋಸ. 

ಕಿಂಡಿ ಅಣೆಕಟ್ಟು ಕೂಡ ಸಣ್ಣ ನೀರಾವರಿ ಇಲಾಖೆಗೆ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯಾಗಿರುವ ಅನುದಾನವೇ ಹೊರತು ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ಶಾಸಕರ ನಿಧಿ ಅಥವಾ ಅನುದಾನ ಅಲ್ಲ. ಸದ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ನಡೆಯುವ ವಿಧಾನ ಸಭಾ ಚುನಾವಣೆಗೆ ಕಾಪು ಶಾಸಕರು ಸಿದ್ದರಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಇಷ್ಟೆಲ್ಲಾ ಸುಳ್ಳು ಹೇಳಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ.

Let me rephrase couple of sentences in the report These roads are to be constructed as well as renovated from the MLA grants obtained by Lalaji R. Mendon for the development work for the people. The vented dam would be constructed at the cost of 50 lakhs of rupees under the programme of Minor Irrigation project of Udupi District and from the grants of MLAs fund belonging to Lalaji R. Mendon. These funds do not belong to MLA. They belong to the people. And there is nothing great about it. For doing these kind of development work we have hired (voted ) him. Before praising him for allotting the funds we should wait till the work completes and should take a call on praising or criticizing.

Whenever I visit Moodubelle, I see civil police stopping the vehicle and checking the records collecting fines without receipts. I feel there is a need of change in the police department. Let RTO do the vehicle inspection and let Civil police control the thefts and Burglars which is increasing day by day.

@ Salvador you are right. This is another example of failure of Shirva police. Yes indeed many thefts in recent days but what police department is doing? Continuous thefts in the region which comes under Shirva police station. I really doubt is there any link in between police and the burglars? What is the reason for not arresting any of the burglars? There can t be smoke without fire! The problem seems to be more deep rooted than it appears. As Australian captain Michael Clark said "There have been a number of issues on this tour where I don t think we have been hitting our standards." There surely is some serious lack of communication. First of all, it s not that tough to e mail or text your opinion about below par performance by players at such highest level. Secondly, if there is some reluctance from some of the players, the captain and coach can talk one to one. Such a thing does not happen when there is disunity in the team. There might be some series of misbehavior from the quartet. Or else, they would have never axed a player’s like Vice-Captain Shane Watson and James Pattinson! More over the lack of interest for Shane Watson appears debatable to me now, especially when the team is in such dire straits. If these players cannot follow a simple instruction from a coach, how could they comply with other team decisions? Continuing in the team with such an attitude is not setting a good example for the other players. Australian cricket is in doldrums. As an ardent cricket fan, it really pains to see these things happen.
