Udupi: Madwa Vadiraja Institute of Tech & Mgmt, Bantakal to Host National Convention from Oct 18 to

Udupi, 15 Oct 2013: Sri Madwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management, Bantakal, near here will be organizing the first ever national technological convention on Environment and recent developments in energy management at the Institute auditorium from Friday October 18 to Saturday October 19, said Institute principal and convention chairman Dr Radhakrishna S Ithal.
Addressing the media persons during a press meet held at the Institute, here on Tuesday October 15, Dr Ithal said that the representatives from different states across the nation, over 40 researchers will present their papers during the convention. An exhibition of energy saving and environmental friendly technology will be held on the occasion, said Dr Ithal.
At the backdrop of global warming, its essential that the general awareness is being created on safe and trusted energy saving gadgets, the innovations in this sphere, the programmes of both state and union governments, the research in global countries and training the future technocrats will be focus of convention, added Dr Ithal.
Mega exhibition
A mega exhibition will be held at the joint auspices of Karnataka state Pollution Control Board, kartanataka state bio-fuel development Board, Karnataka state science and technology Commission and Karnataka renewable energy development Board from Friday to Saturday between 9.00am to 5.00pm. It’s open for all students and general public. UPCL, Lanco Group, Hatti Gold Mines Company Limited, Bangalore are the key sponsors of convention.

The representatives of industry body, teachers, technical college students, intellectuals, Vastu experts, environmentalists, civil and electrical contractors, interior designers, representatives of state-run public utilities supplier, any responsible citizen are urged to avail the benefits.
Hatti Gold Mine Company Limited managing director A K Monappa will inaugurate the convention here at 9.00am on Friday.
Belgaum – Vishveshwarayya Technological University chancellor Dr K V Prakash will be the chief guest of the occasion.
Karnataka state bio-fuel development Authority former chairman Y B Ramakrishna will deliver keynote address.
Sri Madwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management governing council deputy chairman V Srinivas Tantri will preside the function.
Bangalore - Karnataka state science and technology Commission secretary Dr M Mohan Kumar, New Delhi – DST director Dr M Pratviraj, Sri Madwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management governing council secretary Ratnakumar will be the chief guest of valedictory function.
