Udupi: State-Level Inter-Collegiate Cultural & Technological Fest inaugurated at Bantakal

Udupi, 5 Mar 2014 : Syndicate Bank chief general manager K T Rai inaugurated two-day inter-collegiate ‘Varnotsav’ cultural fest and ‘Tantrikotsav’ technological fest at Sri Madwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management, Bantakal, near Shirva, here on Tuesday March 4.
K T Rai in his inaugural address lauded the rapid growth of Sri Madwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management in a short span of time and also for organizing such a mega event. He expressed his concern for the coastal youth who are lacking interest to pursue bank jobs in the cradle of banking that is undivided Dakshina Kannada (DK) district. He urged the technical students to pursue interest in banking sector, urged Rai.
Sodhe Vadiraja Mutt Educational Trust ® chairman Swami Vishwavallaba in his presidential address expressed happiness for organizing state-level inter-collegiate competitions and also congratulated the students for bringing laurels both in study and sports.

Sri Madwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management principal Dr Radhakrishna S Ithal explained the key objectives of organizing the event.
The governing council member Rajeshwar Singh and advisor Harish B were present at the dais.
Deepika Ballal rendered the prayers. Dr Ithal welcomed the gathering. The head of department of mathematics Dr Lolita Priya Castelino introduced the dignitaries. The cultural fest co-ordinator Professor Subbulaxmi Karant proposed vote of thanks. Aditi Baglody and Nihal Shetty compered the programme.
At the cultural fest, variety group dances, mimicry, one-act play, singing, rangoli, facemask competitions were held. At the technological fest, robo-race, gaming and paper presentation on different technical aspects were held.
