Dubai: NRI Ronald Colaco launches First-Ever Konkani Web-Serial

Dubai, 26 Sep 2013: The philanthropist and NRI entrepreneur Ronald Colaco symbolically launched first-ever Konkani web-serial, produced by Vincent Fernandes of ’Mogachi Lahran’ fame at Fortune Plaza Hotel here on Wednesday September 25.

 

Ronald Colaco after launching the web-serial said, ‘Konkani needs innovation. Vincent is known for his innovations in the music sphere, now he has taken efforts to bring Konkani into e-scene with the first-ever Konkani web-serial. People should support him in every possible way,’ said Colaco.

 

Walter Nandalike of daijiworld, Harish Sherigar of ACME, Joseph Mathias of Merit Freight Systems, Frank Fernandes of Mosaco Shipping and Maxi Pinto of Sun Max LLC were the guests of honour.

 

 

 

 

 

Ronald Colaco and Walter Nandalike symbolically launched the serial on a projector. The promo was screened for the audience.

 

Speaking on the occasion, Walter Nandalike in his address, appreciated Vincent for the latter’s interest to keep abreast with latest technology. Walter further said, ‘Vincent has already dedicated 9 Konkani musical albums, and now with his latest innovation he has made an effort to bring Konkani artistes onto the screen by giving them an opportunity through this serial,’ said Walter. Meanwhile, Walter appealed to the people to support Vincent financially as well as morally, appealed Walter.

 

Harish Sherigar, Joseph Mathias and Frank Fernandes also  spoke on the occasion and urged everyone to support Vincent and his team.

 

Serial director Ashwath Samuel, ace cameraman Mani who shot the entire serial and all the actors were present on the occasion.

 

Brian Fernandes and group staged mesmerizing dances. Harish Sherigar, Melvyn and others presented Tulu, Konkani, Kannada and Hindi songs.

 

The event was concluded with sumptuous food Thursday 12.00am midnight.

 

Roshan D’Silva compered the programme. Actor Sunita Menezes briefed about the themes and content of the serial.
