Mangalore: Francis Cutinho elected president of MCC Bank

Mangalore, 19 Sep 2013: Francis Cutinho Fermai was unanimously elected the president and Alwyn Patrao the vice-president of Mangalore Catholic Cooperative (MCC) Bank, among the 13 directors who were recently elected in the MCC bank elections.

 

The election for the post of president and vice-president was held at the bank head office here on Thursday September 19.

 

Jubilant supporters of Francis Cutinho offered him garland soon after he was elected the president. Firecrackers also marked the victory celebrations.

 

 

Speaking to media persons after being elected, Francis Cutinho thanked all the directors for their support in electing him. "During the five years of my term, I will undertake development works for the bank with the support of directors."

 

Alwyn Patrao said, "We will develop the century-old MCC Bank with the support of directors and the people. Development works like share capital, opening of new branches and others will be undertaken."

 

On the occasion, a cake was cut to celebrate Francis Cutinho’s 48th birthday.

 

Newly-elected directors Dolphy Patrao, Dennis D’Souza, Jerald Jude D’Silva, Andrew D’Souza, Melwyn Clifford D’Souza, Dr Judith Pinto, Dr Edward Nazareth, Edmunk Frank, Adolphus Cutinha, Shalet Pinto, general manager Joseph Quadras, returning officer Maheshwarappa among others were present.
