Ahmadi–Kuwait: Announcing The Novena & Celebration Of Monthi Feast

 

Kuwait, 30 Aug 2013: Our Lady of Arabia Parish, Ahmadi, Kuwait is announcing the Schedule of Nine Days Novena & Celebration of Monthi Feast, in Konkani. The Novena along with the Faith Formation Programme will commence on Wednesday, the 28th of August 2013 at 07.00 pm and will continue till the 5th of September 2013. Rev. Fr. Joel D’souza, OFM, Capuchin who has been specially invited from (Mangalore) India,  will preach on various aspects on the subject of Christian Faith.

 

The Novena will be followed by showering of flowers to Mother Mary. The detailed schedule is as follows:

On the last day of Novena, 5th September Thursday, there will be Adoration followed by Healing session.

 

The celebration of Monthi Feast on 6th of September, Friday will commence at 10.00 am. The statue of Infant Mary will be brought to the main church in a procession. This will be followed by the Blessing of Novem (new grains) and Showering of Flowers to Mother Mary.

 

The second part will comprise of the Eucharistic sacrifice.

 

During the celebration there will be a felicitation programme honouring the children of St. Cecilia’s Children’s Konkani Choir, Ahmadi, Deacon Sylvester D’Souza and others.

 

Following the Eucharistic Celebration will be the Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and the adoration.

 

With the blessing of the Novem Jevonn, the faithful will then proceed to the catechism block premises for the family meal.
