Mangalore, 27 July 2013 : The greenery is just a lip service, because it has become a commodity to exploit to the fullest to earn greater revenue. The lush green forests are felled to satisfy the insatiable greed of humans. The skyscrapers and chemical fertilizer industries are taking the toll on forests.
An individual is focusing his energies on maximizing his income rather than not bothered of pure air, potable drinking water, shade etc. By the time, the humans learn about the perils of Mother Nature, it seems the entire world will go oblivion. The humans are the intelligent lot in the universe, if he takes a decisive stance on saving greenery right now, it would be possible to let the earth breath unhindered thereby the humans get oxygen to sustain living.
Every human being ought to learn to love earth. If we love earth, it would sustain living. If we are engaged in reckless felling of greenery, it will result in natural calamities that would threaten the man kind. If we got to live, we ought to preserve nature. Its our duty, because we can plant a few saplings in our household and nurse them that would lead to greenery around in our midst.
The water is getting scarce on each passing day. One does not get nutritious food, air is polluted, the temperature is rising; all this is the outcome of reckless deforestation. If the greenery is sustained, we can breathe pure air, moderate rains. The floods would not occur very frequently that erodes the fertile soil. The greenery can bring us good rain, because nature is life and life is nature!!!
