Karkal: Free Health Check-up Camp held in Belman

Karkal, 18 Jun 2013: At the prevailing times of medical treatment getting expensive, organizing free health camps by social welfare and voluntary organizations is a boon to poor people, said retired teacher Kodimar Vittal Tantri.
Vittal was speaking after inaugurating free camp for retina care among diabetic patients that was organized in association with zilla panchayat, district health and family welfare department, district blind department, KMC – Manipal, primary health centre – Belman, JCI – Belman at primary health centre – Belman, near here on Monday June 17.
Belman primary heath centre medical officer Dr Satish delivered the introductory address.
KMC – Manipal eye surgeon led by Dr Ketaki held the eye-check-up camp, while over 75 people attended the camp.
JCI – Belman president Raghunat Nayak Punaru presided the programme.
Prashant compered the programme. Sanjeev proposed vote of thanks.
JCI members, primary health centre staff were present at the occasion.
