Udupi: Extremism is Restricted to Individual’s Choice’ Suleiman Saadi

Udupi, 30 Dec 2012: ‘Let the mankind live in peace and brotherhood’, propagates Hinduism. Similarly, Christian and Islam propagate love fellowmen, peaceful co-existence, charity and sacrifice. None of the religions in the world support extremism and should not support also. Meanwhile, extremism is up to an individual who has allowed his mind to be corrupted by evil thoughts. The venom of a cobra lies in its teeth and not in rest of its body, while the individual with extremist thoughts is dangerous entirely, said K U Suleiman Saadi, head of Jumma masjid, Manipur.
Suleiman Saadi was speaking at friendly meet on Christmas and New Year Celebrations that was held at Holy Cross parish grounds, Pamboor, near here on Thursday December 27. It was organized by Youngsters – Pamboor.
The corrupt politicians who are responsible for swindling several crore of rupees worth nation’s wealth are responsible for national unrest and evils in the country, opined Suleiman Saadi.
The intellect and veteran teacher B Pundalika Marate said that Indian culture survived the onslaught of invaders for several centuries. India is a peace loving and hospitable nation that has no history of invading any country. The people of different communities celebrate their feasts together foster brotherhood and leads to peace in the society, said Pundalika Marate.
The national award recipient teacher Nakre George Castelino explained the significance of Christmas celebrations.

Pamboor parish priest Fr Charles Lewis presided the programme.
