Shirva :Inuagration of Human Rights & Legal Awareness Cell at St.Mary’s College

Shirva, 31 August 2012: The Indian Judicial system has always been in favoure of people in protecting human rights, in following the social justice and has played a prime role in the protection of rights. In the wake of corruption the judiciary system is the only light of hope, said Mysore University Professor Dr. Musafer Asadi.
He was speaking upon inaugurating the ‘H Human Rights & Legal Awareness Cell’ jointly organized by Mangalore University National Service Scheme and Vaikunta Baliga College of Law, in Shirva St. Mary’s College.
The program was presided over by College Correspondent Rev. Fr. Stany Tauro, who in his presidential address said that, the programs like these give awareness of law to the students and it helps the students to develop their personality, he said. Political Science Department Head Dr. S. Padmanabha Bhat in his introductory note welcomed the guests and the gathering.
Prof. Gopalakrishna Samaga proposed vote of thanks. Acting Principal Prof. Pascal D’Sa, NSS Coordination Officer Prof. Ronald Moras were present on the occasion. Student Ashwin Lawrence compeered the program. Later the students of Vykunta Baliga Law College conducted court of law session.
