Kavita Trust to organize Second All India Konkani Poetry Reciting Competition

Mangalore, 22 August 2012: Kavita Trust is all set to  organize Second All India Konkani Poetry Reciting Competition in September 2012.  The Semi Final Rounds will be held in Margao, Panaji, Mangalore and Udupi from September 6 to 16, 2012. Finals will take place on January 13, 2013 during the Kavita Fest, which will be held in Mangalore.

 
The competition is open to all those who fall in the age group of 15 to 30 years. Participants can read either their own poem or can choose any Konkani poem from the poetry books available. This is a good opportunity to upcoming poets to showcase their talents.

Semi Final Rounds:

September 6, 2012: T B Cunha, Hall, Panaji
September 7, 2012: Konkani Bhasha Mandal, Margao
September 9, 2012: Kalaangann, Shaktinagar, Mangalore
September 16, 2012: Mother of Sorrows Church Hall, Udupi

 
Finals:

January 13, 2013: Mangalore (During Kavita Fest)
