Moodubelle: Rastriya Granthalaya Saptahada inaugurated

Moodubelle, 19 November 2011: Rastreeya Granthalaya was inaugurated in Samaja Mandira Thirlapalke, Moodubelle on Friday 18th November 2011 in the morning at 11.30 am. The inaugural program began with prayers by Savitha Shenoy. The program was presided over by Jesintha Aranha – President of Belle Grama Panchayath. Ramappa Hittalamani – Grama panchayath Development Officer and Kumari Chandrika - Library In charge and also the members of the library were present on the occasion.

 

Jesintha Aranha in her speech said that the library is an ancient system and by reading the mind and the intellect becomes active. A person can get more knowledge with developing  more and more reading habit. But in the recent time due to the TV serials such reading has lagged behind, she said. The library science is the treasury of knowledge and to collect the required information we will have to depend on the library.

 

 

With the implementation of technology the usage of library is increasing now and also it creates more job opportunities. So the library has transformed into a new field. Here along with the job there is also the opportunity for continuous studies. Along with that there are also responsibilities for the librarian to list the new books, collection of new information, segregation and collection of the records of information. This field will be suitable for those who wants to learn new things and study deep into those subjects and also those who are interested in the fields of science and technology.
