Kalianpur : Old Students and Staff felicitated during AGM of Milagres College alumni Association

Kallianpur, 10 october 2011 : Milagres College Alumni Association felicitated 8 old students & staff for outstanding achievements and service here on Saturday, 9th Ocober, 2011 during its Annual General Body meeting which held at College Conference Hall. On this occasion Principal Dr. Neri Cornelio who is Hon. President of the Association, Rev Fr. Ivan Rodrigues Milagres PU College Principal, and other office bearers of the Association were present.

 

During honouring ceremony, honoured personalities were introduced by Salvadore Noronha, Prof Melwyn Rego and Allan Lewis. The following personalities were honoured:-
1. Prof Hilda Rodrigues to be retired staff of the college,
2. Shri. J.N. Hegde, Retired Librarian of the College,
3. Shri Ahok Kumar Shetty -  Education & Public Service,
4. Gregory D’ Silva - Sports and Education
5. Dr. Herald Monis - Research & Education,
6. Richard D’Souza - Journalism & Public Service,
7. Vishwanath Naik - Police Service & Sports,
8. Ganesh Kotian - Sports

 

Earlier Rev Fr. Ivan Rodrigues addressed the gathering and blessed the occasion. Dr. Neri Cornelio the Hon. President of the association highlighted some of the future projects for the development of the college. He also pointed out that new courses offered by the college for next academic year and requested old students for their who hearted support for the development of the college. Prof Hilda Rodrigues who is going to retire in coming month also spoke dduring the occasion.

Prior to the felicitation ceremony Joint Secretary Prof. Sophia Dais read the Association’s annual report  and Augustine Dais presented the accounts of the Association. Earlier Mrs. Lovely D’Sa Vice President welcomed the gathering in the absence of President Boniface D’Souza.

Allan Lewis was proposed vote of thanks and Prof Melwyn Rego compered the whole programme and the election of the Association.
