Udupi: Grand Tulu Commercial Picture “Dibbana”

Udupi, 21 April 2011: State award winner youth of Udupi, Krishnaprasad who wrote story for Tulu picture ’Kadala Mage’, is doing the preparations in a full swing for his debutant directed grand Tulu commercial film “Dibbana”. Movie director Krishnaprasad from Uppinakote Udupi had his journey in Sandalwood in the garden city of Bangalore and has already made a name for himself. In order to lift Tulu cinema to greater heights he is preparing this movie with efforts to adopt Tulu flavor.

In ’Kadala Mage’ Tulu cinema he had introduced actor Diganth and this time he will be introducing Pritham Suvarna from Bollywood Mumbai in the new picture Dibbana. He is the kind of director that who wants to reflect Tulu culture in the movie and want the movie to run for at least 100 days. Hence, this Tulu movie "Dibbana" will be purely commercial movie and Producer Vishwanath Mumbai has come forward to invest in this high budget picture.

 

With the cooperation of Jnanayogi national award winner K. Yogish Bhat the movie "Dibbana" will go into production in the month of May. This will be the 42nd movie in the Tulu language. The shooting will commence by first week of May and the picture will be shot in Mumbai, Madikeri, Bengalore, Udupi, Manipal and Mangalore.

The movie "Dibbana" is basically a love story which is being prepared with the theme on young generation and is full of music. Six songs have been recorded in Mumbai already under the direction of ’Kadala Mage’ music director, S.P. Chandrakanth. The movie is being produced under the banner of Shri Durgaparameshwari Creations.

 

Kannada actress Roopika will be the heroine of this movie. Renukumar will be the cameraman, Vijaykumar and Salim Puttur have given art. Akul will be the choreographer and Madhu Surathkal has written the lyrics. In this movie, Vinayprasad, Jayjagadish, Raviteja Mangalore, Nithushree Mangalore, Suresh Mangalore and many famous actors from Udupi and Mangalore will be acting, said director Krishnaprasad.

Recording of six songs has already completed. These songs have been sung by popular Bollywood singers. Hindi singer Kailash Kher has sung Tulu Pyatho for the first time in this movie. Also Udit Narayan and Shreya Goshal have sung duet song for the first time in Tulu. Udit Narayan has sung melodiously in this movie and by singing in Tulu for this movie he has by now sung in 33 languages.

 

Along with Udit Narayan, Priya Hamesh of ’Ringa Ringa’ Telugu song fame, Vinutha, a student of A. R. Rehman, Karthik of Chennai and from Mangalore Anuradha Bhatt have all sung each one song for this movie. Technically also this movie is expected to be a great hit.
