Moodubelle-Kattingeri BJP Mahila Morcha inaugurated

Moodubelle, 19 February 2011: The Moodubelle-Kattingeri Mahila Morcha  of Kaup Legislative assembly constituency was inaugurated in the Geetha Mandir, Moodubelle on Friday, 18th February 2011 at 3.30 pm. The Mahila Morcha was inaugurated by Mrs. Shanta. V. Acharya, Director of State Scouts and Guides and former District President of BJP Mahila Morcha by formally lighting the lamp.

 

The inaugural programme was presided over by Mrs. Reshma Udaya Shetty, president of the udupi District BJP Mahila Morcha. Other guests of honour included Mrs. Sandhya, Chief Secretary of udupi District BJP Mahila Morcha, Rajendra Shetty, President of the Local BJP Committee, Mrs. Geetanjali Suvarna, Udupi Zilla Panchayat member from from  Padubidri, Mrs. Shambhavi Kulal, President of Kaup BJP Mahila Morcha, Devdas Hebbar, President of Udupi Taluk Panchayat , Gerald Fernandes, former member of Udupi Zilla Panchayat and Karunakara, member of the Manipura Grama Panchayat.

 

 

Mrs. Shanta V. Acharya in her address said that by working through organization women can achieve better results. Women should work on socially relevant  issues.  Further she said that we should not ask what the society gives to us but we should ask ourselves what we can give to the society.

 

Mrs. Reshma Udyaya Shetty in her message said that women should get themselves involved in political activities. They should understand the various schemes for the benefit of the poorer section of the society and communicate the same to the people.
Mrs. Ranjani  S. Hegde was chosen as the President of the Moodubelle-Kattingeri BJP Mahila Morcha and Kum. Lalitha as the Secretary.
