Chinnara Habba promises to be bigger and better

Bangalore, 23 October 2010: Chinnara Habba, the city’s biggest children’s event, is back in a more exciting avatar. Conceptualised on a par with international standards, the four-day extravaganza promises to offer children a heady mix of fun, learning and entertainment. The habba will be held from October 29 to November 1 at Tripuravasini, Palace Grounds.
Adventure activities
Nagaraj Selvanathan from Peacock Group said that apart from regular features like the drawing competition, talent show and Mom, Let’s Walk the Ramp, the habba is packed with new attractions such as Snow World, Scary House and a completely different set of adventure activities.
The habba will also feature a host of talent hunt activities such as RJ Hunt, Voice of Chinnara Habba and group dance competitions. There will be over 150 trade stalls to cater to the requirements of the entire family.
Mr. Selvanathan said that the habba will kick off with a cycle rally. He said that the rally, organised in association with Ride-A-Cycle-Foundation, will see participation of around 400 children from Malleswaram 18th Cross grounds to the Palace Grounds. This will be followed by a Mobility Quiz, an essay, letter writing and drawing competitions. High school students may submit essays on ‘Me and My Bicycle’ or a letter to their father asking him to bicycle along with them to school once a week (in English or Kannada). Responsible pet care
Another feature will be the Pet Zone. Mr. Selvanathan said that a variety of lovable pets will be on display. Awareness will be created on responsible pet care.
