Pay more for bus ride in Udupi

Udupi, 17 January 2011: With the Regional Transport Authority (RTA) revising the fares of private express/shuttle and (Udupi) city buses, commuters would have to pay more for their travel from Monday onwards.

 

The bus fares for private express/shuttle buses have been revised as follows with km in brackets: Rs. 5 (0 to 6.5 km), Rs. 9 (6.6 to 13 km), Rs. 13 (13.1 to 19.5 km), Rs. 17 (19.6 to 26 km), Rs. 22 (26.1 to 32.5 km), Rs. 26 (32.6 to 39 km), Rs. 31 (39.1 to 45.5 km), Rs. 34 (45.6 to 52 km), Rs. 37 (52.1 to 58.5 km), Rs. 42 (58.6 to 65 km), Rs. 46 (65.1 to 71.5 km), Rs. 50 (71.6 to 78 km), Rs. 54 (78.1 to 84.5 km), Rs. 59 (84.6 to 91 km), Rs. 62 (91.1 to 97.5 km), Rs. 66 (97.6 to 104 km), Rs. 68 (104.1 to 110.5 km), Rs. 72 (110.6 to 117 km), Rs. 76 (117.1 to 123.5 km), Rs. 79 (123.6 to 130 km), Rs. 84 (130.1 to 136.5 km), Rs. 88 (136.6 to 143 km), Rs. 93 (143.1 to 149 km), Rs. 97 (149.6 to 156 km), Rs. 100 (156.1 to 162.5 km).

 

Udupi city bus fares

 

The revised fares for private city buses in Udupi with kilometres in brackets — Rs. 4 (0 to 2 km), Rs. 5 (2.1 to 4 km), Rs. 6 (4.1 to 6 km), Rs. 7 (6.1 to 10 km), Rs. 8 (10.1 to 12 km), Rs. 9 (12.1 to 14 km), Rs. 10 (14.1 to 16 km) and Rs. 12 (16.1 to 20 km).

 

Volvo bus fare cut


Mangalore: The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation has reduced the fare for travel between Mangalore and Mumbai in the Volvo and the newly launched multi-axle air conditioned buses.

 

According to an official release, the bus fare to Mumbai in the multi-axle AC bus has been brought down from Rs. 1,100 to Rs. 850 a person.

 

Similarly, the fare in the Volvo bus has been brought down from Rs. 1,033 to Rs. 800. The multi-axle bus leaves Mangalore at 2 p.m. and reaches Mumbai at 8 a.m. next day.

 

Route

It will ply via Moodbidri, Karkala, Belman, Manchakal, Udupi, Kundapur, Hubli, Belgaum and Pune.

 

The Volvo bus will leave Mangalore at 3 p.m. and reach Mumbai the next day at 9 a.m. The bus will ply via Udupi, Kundapur, Bhatkal, Hubli, Belgaum, Kolhapur and Pune, the release said.

This newly bus ticket rate is very high compare to previous. This is the symbol of "THE WORLD IS COME TO AN END". MORE BUSES MORE POLLUTION.
