Magalore: I will contest Lok Sabha election - Muthalik

 

Mangalore, 18 Aug 2013: “Abiding to people’s pressure, I will contest forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. So far five constituencies have been chosen, of which I will contest from one constituency,” said Pramod Muthalik, national president, Shri Rama Sena.

 

He was addressing the press persons after attending ‘Abhyasa Varga,’ of  Shri Rama Sena convened at Bajpe on Sunday, August 18.

 

“Of the Chikkodi, Belgaum, Bagalkote, Haveri and Udupi Lok Sabha constituiency, I will contest election from any one constituency,”Muthalik said.

 

“A preliminary meeting has already been conducted. If BJP supports I will contest has BJP candidate, if not I will be an independent candidate. I am contesting election to support Narendra Modi. Baba Ramdev has supported my candidature. Around 100 swamijis have expressed their willingness to campaign for me.” he added.

 

“What is the use of running government if it has failed to provide basic amenities to people despite being in power for the past 60 years.” Muthalik questioned.

 

“The entire political machinery was misused to suppress the movements started by Anna Hazare and Baba Ramdev,”he said.

 

10 lac Bangladeshi immigrants

“Around 10 lac Bangladeshis have immigrated to the State. In there about 3,000 are girls. Through them drugs supply and fake notes are being distributed. Some have also themselves in flesh trade. Majority of Indians have not yet received Aadhar Card. But quite surprisingly Bangladeshis in Chikmagalur have got Aadhar card. How did they get and how did they enter our State. All these are result of vote bank politics,”Muthalik said.

 

“These illegal immigrants are working in coffee estates in Coorg or jewellery shops in the cities. Bangladeshis are also staying illegally in Bangalore where bomb blast had occurred two years ago. We are gathering information on these people and within two months the information will be submitted to the Government. These people who come to destroy the nation have to thrown out. In thid direction Shri Rama Sena is planning to organize ‘Bangladeshi Hatao Bharat Bachao.’ Andolan.”he added.

 

Ready to fight against cattle theft

 “Cattle thefts are on rise in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi Districts. Cattle thieves are terrorizing people by showing sickle and robbing cows from the sheds, if this continues then we also will take up sickles to protect them. Today, people entering sheds to rob cows, a day will come when they will barge in the house and take away our daughters.”Muthalik said.

 

“The Day new Government came into power it withdrew the anti-cow slaughter act. Cows should be protected as per 1964 act. If cattle theft doesn’t stop then we will give call for District Bandh,”he warned. 

 

Abhyasa Varga

Shri Rama Sena has been organizing abhyasa varga in the State. In Mangalore it is the fifth abhyasa varga. Organisational activities have been undertaken in State’s North and South region.

 

Dr. Ishwar Gowda Patil, has been chosen as the President of North region, while Mahesh Koopa will lead the South region.

 

Co-ordination Committee

A co-ordination committee with 12 members has been formed in  the State. From South region Prasad Attavar has been made the member. “Shri Rama Sena is not individual centric but value based.”Muthalik said.

 

Gangadhar Kulkari, organizing secretary, Mahesh Koppa, president, South Region, Kumar Malemar, vice-president, South Region and Ganesh Attavar, district vice-president were persent.
