Hand chopping remark : Muthalik gets anticipatory bail
Mangaluru, 11 Dec 2014: Sri Ram Sene Chief Pramod Muthalik on Thursday, December 11 was granted anticipatory bail after he was booked for his alleged hand chopping remarks made last month.
On November 16, Pramod Muthalik during a press conference held at Arya Samaj here, sparked controversy by saying that the hands of those involved in sexual atrocities against women should be chopped. Going ahead, he said that his organization would bear the legal expenses of those arrested for doing so.
The Kadri police on November 21 took ’suo motto’ action treating it as an act of open defiance of the law of the land, causing disturbance of peace and incitement to violence.
