Sarvottam Shetty appeals Expats in UAE to Strive for Success of Alvas Vishwa Nudisiri Virasat – 2013

Dubai, 24 Jan 2013: Karnataka Rajyotsav award recipient and Abu Dhabi Kannada Sangh president Sarvottam Shetty appealed to expatriates in UAE, in order to strive for the success of Alvas Vishwa Nudisiri Virasat – 2013, literary and cultural extravaganza, that is being organized for the first time overseas, after the mega success in India.

 

Sarvottam was speaking at the preparatory meeting on Alvas Vishwa Nudisiri Virasat – 2013, held at Winny’s Restaurant, Karama, here on Wednesday January 23.

 

Addressing the gathering, Sarvottam Shetty said that Dr Mohan Alva is a multifaceted personality and is renowned as cultural ambassador of India.   Alvas Vishwa Nudisiri Virasat – 2013 is the maiden event that is being organized in UAE, said Sarvottam.

 

Meanwhile, Sarvottam appealed to Kannadigas’ in UAE strive to for the success of Alvas Vishwa Nudisiri Virasat – 2013, disregarding any differences among organizations, appealed Sarvottam.

 

 

C R Shetty expressed hope that major preparations are completed for Alvas Vishwa Nudisiri Virasat – 2013 that will be staged in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

 

Fortune Group of Hotels director Praveen Shetty said that Alvas Nudisiri has been organized by Dr Mohan Alva in Moodbidri on his own, without any grant from state government.  It’s the first ever global event that the Kannadiga expatriates in UAE are privileged to witness, said Praveen Shetty.  He urged all Kannadigas to attend the event in large numbers along with their families and friends.

 

Radio Spice director Herman Lewis, renowned stage director Ganesh Rai, Dr Mohan Alva’s representative Yatiraj, Nazeer and others gave their suggestions.

 

Alvas Vishwa Nudisiri Virasat – 2013 organizers Ratnakar Hegde and Prem Shetty, Sharjah Karnataka Sangh president Satish Poojary, Kannada Koota representative Mallikarjun were present at the dais.

 

The office bearers of Kannada organizations in UAE and members attended the preliminary meeting.
