Being fan of Tulu Dramas by Devdas Kapikad for a long time it was a wonderful opportunity to watch the premier of Telikeda bolli in Abudhabi. Movie was a absolute laughter ride with good story to back and excellent performances by all the actors. Thanks for all who made possible to have a premier here in abudhabi and also to Bellevision for the nice coverage of the event. Hope to see more movies from Devdas Kapikad and team.

On an average, Karnataka will transfer Rs 6,000 every year against each of its BPL household to Chhattisgarh. Thus the richer state will help its poor cousin in the north. This is good news for reducing regional disparities.

Bad news is: a fortnight back as I traveled through the state, some reports I came across about BPL card being issued to upper middle class, while actually denying them to real poor. VA and local politicians misuse the scheme to create their own chelas..Gundu Rao will need to set that right.

This is a historic event. While marking the milestone, a new vision and strategy is also a necessity. In a decades time, it is likely to see lower and lower enrollments.

This was an all round performance from Team India. Congrats to Virat Kohli and his team..!!! A quick learner and has the fighting spirit, leading a young side and nobody is hoping that it will win every single game. But the fact that even such a young team is able to transform itself into a strong unit and perform, especially when teams like Sri Lanka and Australia are struggling in that transition phase, makes us quite confident for the future. We have seen this in the past in triangular series in Australia and in Asia cup and then Sri Lanka eliminating India by losing or beating other sides. Will this be the repeat of same story again? You never know!!

I m very impressed with the selection of Mohit and especially Rasool even though he didn t make much of an impression in the IPL. Parvez Ghulam Rasool Zargar was a standout performer for Jammu Kashmir in the 2012-13 Ranji Trophy, ending the season as its top scorer and highest wicket-taker. In his seven Ranji matches, he has scored 594 runs with two centuries, and took 33 wickets to finish as the third-highest wicket-taker among spinners in the tournament.

Congratulations to the entire St. Thomas II Ward on the occasion of celebrating their ward feast. The able leadership of the ward Gurkarn Mrs. Theresa Alva and the combined efforts and co operation from all the ward members it goes to show that where there is unity nothing is impossible. It is the heavy monsoon season in India but the enthusiasm and loveliness is visible on everybody’s face especially elderly those who were present. I have spent my entire childhood in this ward hence knowing almost everyone makes me even more happy and nostalgic. I wish I was there this time…!!

What about NRI s Moodubelle Has they entitled to have a ration card in their name We are paying house taxes land taxes e.t.c then why cant have ration card? Can Rajendra shetty president Moodubelle Panchayat give a explanation.

I think these BJP leaders are only to oppose criticise and fisk out the funds. Mr Gowda was given an opportunity, but could not control party quarrels and swiping away of funds and failed to do some creative work for the people except SAKAl which sufferred and suffocated the employees in the Offices and now opposing plans for Panchayaths and Gramasabha to be effective. If amends to the Law are done no action could be taken when the Panchayath President/ Secretary sleep over the problems. Therefore if the pamchayath is not calling Gramasabha the president and or Secretary must be punished and for that provisions in the law must be made. I suggest those oppose this way effective actions, must be voted down by the village Panchayath members, who ever and how so ever great personalities may be. Mr Gowda , the ex. c.M. has been invovled in scandals and his propositions need not be considered as appriate to implementin the interest of development.= Benedict Noronha Advocate Udupi.

Sri Lanka gave a master class in batting and Upul Tharanga was superb! But For a relatively young Indian team it is better to bat first and put runs on the board until and unless there is certain difference in the pitch quality. The fact that India has chased well against SL with Virat Kohli as spearhead must have played on Indians mind but this is WI where both Kohli and Dhawan had struggled in last tour. So batting first was the key. If pitch had something then Bhuvneshwar Kumar would surely have exploited it so if at all Shami Ahmed was to be played then Ishant Sharma should have rested. I hope captaincy is not weighing heavily on mind of Kohli. India needs to win both of its two games to progress so there is no place for complacency. Amit Mishra bowled well in WI in the last tour and should be drafted into the squad though at whose place is difficult to say. I still feel that the Indian team will bounce back and win the remaining two matches convincingly.

Whatever changes in sports administration is better for sportspersons especially in India. It is illogical to expect upright people to vote a corrupt guy into power once again. Mr. Suresh Kalmadi has been there for far too long and people have now realized what he is up to. A very good Lesson for the ministries who has been working in closed walls with the tainted officials. Cleaning up sport and tainted sports administrators should begin in order to clean up the image of sport.
