Pamboor: Village Health and Sanitation Training Camp held

Pamboor, 23 September 2011: Village health and sanitation training camp was held at the Samudaya Bhavana, Pamboor on Thursday 22nd September 2011 under Grama Arogya Nairmalya Samithi and Arogya Raksha Samithi members Samarthabhivrudi Yojane. The training camp which began in the morning at 10.30 am, was jointly organized by Karnataka Arogya Vyavaste Abhivrudi & Sudharana Yojane (KHSD & RP), Arogya & Kutumba Kalyana Department Udupi and Adavisiddeshwara Gramina Abivrudi Samste, Udupi.
The training camp was inaugurated by Ida Gibba D’Souza - Jilla Panchayath Member, who also presided over the inaugural program. Other guests and dignitaries present on the dias were; Harish Shetty - President of Grama Arogya Nairmalya Samithi, Sujatha Suvarna – Vice President of Belle Grama Panchayath, Swami K.Y.S. – District Coordinator of Adavi Siddeshawra Samste Udupi, Shiva Prasad K. – Shirva Samudaya Arogya Kendra Kiriya Purusha Heaalth Assistant, Parvathi - Shirva Samudaya Arogya Kendra Kiriya Mahila Health Assistant.
Addressing the gathering Harish Shetty said that, the health itself is our fortune, if we live clean we can live healthy. Government is organizing these health camps, so that the people can get the information on the healthy living. This camp enables us to provide whatever help we can and the participants of the camp should make use of this opportunity, he said.
Ida Gibba D’Souza in her presidential address upon inauguration said that, we can maintain a healthy environment by keeping our surroundings clean, thus can improve our health condition. The government is organizing various programs, so everyone should make use of these facilities, she said.
The program was compeered by Saraswathi V. Bhandari (HSC). Vimala welcomed the guests and the gathering and also proposed vote of thanks.

A very good programme in village level. Congratulation and thanks for reaching out to the villagers. India lives in villages and educating them in clenliness and on health points is a noble cause. May I request the authorities to organise this in other places also? |
