The young painter artist Ramesh Kidiyoor using his imagination prepared artistic invitations for his wedding to be held on 22 October 2010 from the pieces of gunny-bags.
The Kaup Block BJP organised a camp in the premises of the C.A. Bank to provide information regarding the pension scheme known as ‘sandhya Suraksha’ to to those destitute above the age of 65 years and also pension to widows. The camp was conducted under the leadership of the Udupi district BJP Secretary Geetanjali M. Suvarna.
The stage artist Katapadi Nagesh Kamath was felicitated by the Rotract Club of Katapadi in the auditorium of the S.V.S. Junior College, Katapadi in the hands of Udupi talik Panchayat member Naveen Amin. Speaking at this occasion, Naveen Amin said that for the last two decades Katapadi Nagesh Kamath through his comedy roles on Kannada and Tulu stages has emerged as a true artist and brought laurels to his native place Katapadi.
