Udupi: Rotaract gives fillip to social welfare activities among youth members - Dr Bhaskar

As the knowledge grows, the ego degenerates. Rotaract helps its members to lead the youth in order to live worthy lives, said Rotary Club International (RCI) district governor Dr Bhaskar S.
Dr Bhaskar was speaking after inaugurating RCI district conference Refresh – 2014 at S V S Pre-University College auditorium, Katpady, near here on Sunday June 15. It was organized by RCI – Katpady.
RCI district representative K R Rajeev Mysore offered information on social welfare activities that are held at the district.
Rajeev handed over the charge to new district representative Razak Kabakakars Puttur.
The long serving members were conferred with district Rotaract Excellence Award and for the first time conferred Paul Harris Fellow honor to 6 Rotaract members for the first time.
The College governing council president K Satyendra Pai, RCI – Katpady president Harish Rao Mattu, PDRR Shailendra Rao Karkal, speaker Jagannat Kote, Prakash Acharya, Sumit Kinnigoli were present at the dais.
Rotaract Club – Katpady president Pramod Nayak welcomed the gathering. RCI district secretary Dr Suryanarayan K mentored the new members. Jairaj and Sunil introduced the dignitaries. Prakash Nayak rendered the prayers. Prasanna compered the programme. Sumalata proposed vote of thanks.
