Preetham Alva of Moodubelle elected as the NSUI Secretary of Mangalaore University jurisdiction

Moodubelle, 28 September 2010: Preetham Alva of Moodubelle studying in Third Year LLB at Vaikunta Baliga College of Law at Kunjibettu, Manipal  was elected as the Secretary of the National Students Union of India (NSUI) of  the Mangalore University jurisdiction  for the year 2010-11. Election to the various posts of the NSUI for four universities jurisdictions was held on 23rd September 2010 at Shivmoga.

 

 

On being elected as the Secretary of the NSUI of the Mangalore University jurisdiction, Preetham Alva was congratulated by  Vasant V. Salian-former minister in the Karnatka Government,  Gangadhar Suvarna-Congress Block President of Kaup, Amrith Shenoy-General Secretary of Karnataka Youth Congress, Navin Shetty-President of Kaup Youth Congress, Abdul Aziz-Student Union president and Naresh Kamath-Kapu North Block Youth Congress President.

 

Preetham Alva is the son of Henry and Philomena Benedicta Alva of Moodubelle. Henry Alva is a well-known businessman of Moodubelle and a political activist. He is the proprietor of Preetham Caterers, Preetham Shamiana and Preetham Tourists. He is also the Organisational Secretary of the Belle Congress Local Committee covering the villages of  Moodubelle, Kattingeri and Padubelle. Preetham’s mother-Philomena Benedicta Alva is one of the Directors of the  Belle C.A. Bank.
