Beltangady: Sea of Devotees offer Puja at SDM Temple, Dharmasthala on Maha Shivaratri

Beltangady, 28 Feb 2014: Over 1 lac devotees flocked to Sri Dharmasthala Manjunateshwara (SDM) temple, Dharmasthala, near here to pay obeisance to Lord Eshwar on the occasion of Maha Shivaratri on Thursday February 27.

 
The devotees bathed in the tributaries of Netravati river that flows nearby the temple and offered prayers to temple deity.

 

 
The temple complex was especially illuminated to celebrate Maha Shivaratri.

 
Over 25,000 devotees arrived on foot from far-flung regions to offer puja to Lord Eshwar.

 
The night vigil was observed from Wednesday February 26 evening till dawn of Thursday February 27, with chanting of Shiva Panchakshari mantra.
