Hassan: Kanakadasa Jayanti celebrated with Musical Extravaganza for Inmates of Sub-Jail

Hassan, Nov 21, 2013 : At the joint aegis of Kannada and culture department, Hasanamba temple theater group and Sri Sharada theater group, variety musical programme was staged for the inmates of city prison here on Wednesday November 20.  The musical concert was presented as part of Kanakadasa Jayanti.

 
 
H G Gangadhar and friends staged Sugam sangeet, devotional singing and folk-singing on the occasion.

 

 
 
The sub-jail superintendent Krishnamurti inaugurated the programme.

 
 
Doddalli Ramesh rendered the prayers.  Kannada and culture department officer Kumar delivered the introductory address.  The social activist R K Swaroop compered the programme.  The theater director A C Raju, Govinde Gowda and others assisted in presenting the musical extravaganza.
