Ayesha Banu furnished one mobile number for 56 bank accounts

Mangalore, 17 Nov 2013: Ayesha Banu who had 56 bank accounts with ATM facility in her name had given only one cell phone number for mobile banking services. Thus whenever a transaction (deposit/withdrawal) was made from foreign location (Pakistan) or India she used to get SMS alert in her number.

 

 

Ayesha is not innocent

Since Ayesha had furnished only one single number to all the 56 banks she was very well aware of the people who were receiving and sending money to her. This has highlighted the fact that Ayesha is not innocent as claimed, investigating officers said.

 

Mobile phone in possession of Police

The investigating officers who have confiscated her mobile have taken print out of all the messages. Her husband Zubair who opened accounts in Ayesha’s name and furnished her number for transactions tried to put all the blame on her and act as innocent.

 

Investigation officers are also investigating whether Zubair had established the links when he had gone to Dubai in the year 1992. They are also trying to find out why terrorists contacted him after 11 long years for monetary transactions. Whether the terrorists were silent or they had involved somebody else in the transaction apart from Zubair.
